1 Und es war1121 daselbst ein376 berühmter heilloser1100 Mann376, der hieß8034 Seba7652, ein376 Sohn1121 Bichris1075, eines Mannes von Jemini; der blies8628 die Posaune7782 und sprach559: Wir haben kein Teil2506 an David1732 noch Erbe5159 am Sohne Isais3448. Ein jeglicher hebe sich7122 zu seiner Hütte168, o Israel3478!

2 So every376 man376 of Israel3478 went5927 up from after310 David,1732 and followed310 Sheba7652 the son1121 of Bichri:1075 but the men376 of Judah3063 joined1692 to their king,4428 from Jordan3383 even to Jerusalem.3389

2 Da310 fiel von David1732 jedermann376 in Israel3478 und376 folgten1692 Seba7652, dem Sohn1121 Bichris1075. Aber die Männer Judas hingen an5927 ihrem Könige4428, vom Jordan3383 an bis gen Jerusalem3389.

3 And David1732 came935 to his house1004 at Jerusalem;3389 and the king4428 took3947 the ten6235 women802 his concubines,6370 whom834 he had left5117 to keep8104 the house,1004 and put5414 them in ward,4931 and fed3557 them, but went935 not in to them. So they were shut6887 up to the day3117 of their death,4191 living2424 in widowhood.491

3 Da3117 aber der König4428 David1732 heimkam1004 gen Jerusalem3389, nahm3947 er die zehn6235 Kebsweiber, die er hatte935 gelassen, das Haus1004 zu4191 bewahren8104, und tat3240 sie802 in eine Verwahrung4931 und versorgte3557 sie6370; aber er beschlief sie5414 nicht. Und sie waren935 also verschlossen6887 bis an ihren Tod und lebten2424 als Witwen491.

4 Then said559 the king4428 to Amasa,6021 Assemble2199 me the men376 of Judah3063 within three7969 days,3117 and be you here6311 present.5975

4 Und376 der König4428 sprach559 zu Amasa6021: Berufe2199 mir alle Männer in Juda3063 auf den dritten7969 Tag3117; und du sollst auch hie stehen5975.

5 So Amasa6021 went3212 to assemble2199 the men of Judah:3063 but he tarried3186 longer than4480 the set4150 time which834 he had appointed3259 him.

5 Und Amasa6021 ging hin3212, Juda3063 zu berufen2199; aber er verzog309 die Zeit4150, die er ihm bestimmte hatte3259.

6 And David1732 said559 to Abishai,52 Now6258 shall Sheba7652 the son1121 of Bichri1075 do us more harm3415 than4480 did Absalom:53 take3947 you your lord's113 servants,5650 and pursue7291 after310 him, lest6435 he get4672 him fenced1219 cities,5892 and escape5337 us.

6 Da sprach559 David1732 zu Abisai52: Nun wird uns Seba7652, der Sohn1121 Bichris1075, mehr Leides tun denn Absalom53. Nimm3947 du die Knechte5650 deines Herrn113 und jage7291 ihm nach310, daß er nicht3415 etwa für sich feste1219 Städte5892 finde4672 und entrinne5337 aus unsern Augen5869.

7 And there went3318 out after310 him Joab's3097 men,582 and the Cherethites,3774 and the Pelethites,6432 and all3605 the mighty1368 men: and they went3318 out of Jerusalem,3389 to pursue7291 after310 Sheba7652 the son1121 of Bichri.1075

7 Da310 zogen aus3318 ihm nach310 die7291 Männer582 Joabs3097, dazu die Krethi und Plethi und alle Starken1368. Sie zogen aber aus3318 von Jerusalem3389, nachzujagen Seba7652, dem Sohn1121 Bichris1075.

8 When they were at5973 the great1419 stone68 which834 is in Gibeon,1391 Amasa6021 went935 before6440 them. And Joab's3097 garment4055 that he had put3830 on was girded2296 to him, and on it a girdle2290 with a sword2719 fastened6775 on his loins4975 in the sheath8593 thereof; and as he went3318 forth3318 it fell5307 out.

8 Da sie aber bei dem großen1419 Stein68 waren2296 zu Gibeon1391, kam Amasa6021 vor6440 ihnen her. Joab3097 aber war5307 gegürtet2289 über3830 seinem Kleide, das er anhatte, und4055 hatte6775 darüber ein Schwert2719 gegürtet, das hing an seiner Hüfte4975 in der Scheide8593, das ging935 gerne aus3318 und ein.

9 And Joab3097 said559 to Amasa,6021 Are you in health,7965 my brother?251 And Joab3097 took270 Amasa6021 by the beard2206 with the right3225 hand3027 to kiss5401 him.

9 Und Joab3097 sprach559 zu Amasa6021: Friede7965 mit270 dir, mein Bruder251! Und Joab3097 fassete mit seiner rechten Hand3225 Amasa6021 bei dem Bart2206, daß er ihn3027 küssete.

10 But Amasa6021 took no3808 heed8104 to the sword2719 that was in Joab's3097 hand:3027 so he smote5221 him therewith in the fifth2570 rib, and shed8210 out his bowels4578 to the ground,776 and struck8138 him not again;8138 and he died.4191 So Joab3097 and Abishai52 his brother251 pursued7291 after310 Sheba7652 the son1121 of Bichri.1075

10 Und310 Amasa6021 hatte nicht acht auf8210 das Schwert2719 in der Hand3027 Joabs3097; und er5221 stach ihn damit in den Wanst, daß sein8104 Eingeweide4578 sich auf die Erde776 schüttete; und gab ihm keinen Stich8138 mehr; und er starb4191. Joab3097 aber und sein Bruder251 Abisai52 jagten nach7291 Seba7652, dem Sohn1121 Bichris1075.

11 And one376 of Joab's3097 men376 stood5975 by him, and said,559 He that favors2654 Joab,3097 and he that is for David,1732 let him go after310 Joab.3097

12 And Amasa6021 wallowed1556 in blood1818 in the middle8432 of the highway.4546 And when the man376 saw7200 that all3605 the people5971 stood5975 still, he removed5437 Amasa6021 out of the highway4546 into the field,7704 and cast7993 a cloth899 on him, when he saw7200 that every3605 one that came935 by him stood5975 still.

12 Amasa6021 aber lag1556 im Blut1818 gewälzet mitten8432 auf der Straße4546. Da aber einer sah7200, daß alles Volk5971 da stehen5975 blieb, wendete er376 Amasa6021 von der Straße4546 auf den Acker7704 und warf7993 Kleider899 auf ihn5437, weil er sah7200, daß, wer an ihn kam935, stehen5975 blieb.

13 When he was removed3014 out of the highway,4546 all3605 the people376 went5674 on after310 Joab,3097 to pursue7291 after310 Sheba7652 the son1121 of Bichri.1075

13 Da310 er376 nun aus der Straße4546 getan war3014, folgte5674 jedermann Joab3097 nach310, Seba7652, dem Sohn1121 Bichris1075, nachzujagen.

14 And he went5674 through all3605 the tribes7626 of Israel3478 to Abel,62 and to Bethmaachah,1038 and all3605 the Berites:1276 and they were gathered7035 together, and went935 also637 after310 him.

15 And they came935 and besieged6696 him in Abel62 of Bethmaachah,1038 and they cast8210 up a bank5550 against413 the city,5892 and it stood5975 in the trench:2426 and all3605 the people5971 that were with Joab3097 battered7843 the wall,2346 to throw5307 it down.5307

15 Und7843 kamen935 und belegten ihn zu Abel59 und Beth-Maacha; und schütteten8210 einen Schutt um die Stadt5892 und traten5975 an die Mauer2426; und alles Volk5971, das mit Joab3097 war, stürmete und wollte die Mauer2346 niederwerfen5307.

16 Then cried7121 a wise2450 woman802 out of the city,5892 Hear,8085 hear;8085 say,559 I pray4994 you, to Joab,3097 Come7126 near7126 here, that I may speak1696 with you.

16 Da rief7121 eine weise2450 Frau802 aus der Stadt5892: Höret8085! Höret! Sprechet zu8085 Joab3097, daß er hie herzukomme; ich559 will7126 mit ihm reden1696.

17 And when he was come7126 near7126 to her, the woman802 said,559 Are you Joab?3097 And he answered,559 I am he. Then she said559 to him, Hear8085 the words1697 of your handmaid.519 And he answered,559 I do hear.8085

17 Und da er7126 zu8085 ihr kam, sprach559 die Frau: Bist du Joab3097? Er sprach559: Ja. Sie802 sprach559 zu8085 ihm: Höre die Rede1697 deiner Magd519! Er sprach559: Ich höre.

18 Then she spoke,559 saying,559 They were wont1696 to speak1696 in old7223 time, saying,559 They shall surely ask7592 counsel at Abel:59 and so3651 they ended8552 the matter.

18 Sie559 sprach559: Vorzeiten7223 sprach559 man1696: Wer fragen7592 will, der frage7592 zu Abel59; und so ging‘s wohl aus8552.

19 I am one of them that are peaceable7999 and faithful539 in Israel:3478 you seek1245 to destroy4191 a city5892 and a mother517 in Israel:3478 why4100 will you swallow1104 up the inheritance5159 of the LORD?3068

19 Ich bin eine von den friedsamen7999 und treuen539 Städten in Israel3478; und du1245 willst die Stadt5892 töten4191 und die Mutter517 in Israel3478? Warum willst du das Erbteil5159 des HErrn3068 verschlingen1104?

20 And Joab3097 answered6030 and said,559 Far2486 be it, far2486 be it from me, that I should swallow1104 up or destroy.7843

20 Joab3097 antwortete6030 und sprach559: Das sei ferne2486, das sei ferne von mir2486, daß ich verschlingen1104 und verderben7843 sollte! Es hat sich nicht also;

21 The matter1697 is not so:3651 but a man376 of mount2022 Ephraim,669 Sheba7652 the son1121 of Bichri1075 by name,8034 has lifted5375 up his hand3027 against the king,4428 even against David:1732 deliver5414 him only,905 and I will depart3212 from the city.5892 And the woman802 said559 to Joab,3097 Behold,2009 his head7218 shall be thrown7993 to you over1157 the wall.2346

21 sondern ein Mann376 vom Gebirge2022 Ephraim669, mit1697 Namen8034 Seba7652, der Sohn1121 Bichris1075, hat sich3027 empöret wider den König4428 David1732. Gebet denselbigen her allein, so will ich5375 von der Stadt5892 ziehen3212. Die Frau802 sprach559 zu Joab3097: Siehe, sein1157 Haupt7218 soll zu dir über5414 die Mauer2346 geworfen7993 werden.

22 Then the woman802 went935 to all3605 the people5971 in her wisdom.2451 And they cut3772 off the head7218 of Sheba7652 the son1121 of Bichri,1075 and cast7993 it out to Joab.3097 And he blew8628 a trumpet,7782 and they retired6327 from the city,5892 every man376 to his tent.168 And Joab3097 returned7725 to Jerusalem3389 to the king.4428

22 Und die Frau kam935 hinein zu allem Volk5971 mit ihrer Weisheit2451. Und sie802 hieben Seba7652, dem Sohn1121 Bichris1075, den Kopf7218 ab3772 und warfen7993 ihn zu Joab3097. Da blies er8628 die Posaune7782, und sie zerstreueten sich6327 von der Stadt5892, ein376 jeglicher in seine Hütte168. Joab3097 aber kam wieder7725 gen Jerusalem3389 zum Könige4428.

23 Now Joab3097 was over413 all3605 the host6635 of Israel:3478 and Benaiah1141 the son1121 of Jehoiada3111 was over5921 the Cherethites3774 and over5921 the Pelethites:6432
